MUN, this is the name of the Parisian rooftop on everyone’s lips for months. Set on the Champs-Elysées, this new restaurant inspired by Japan, designed by Paris Society, reopens the restaurant and the terrace for the summer 2021!
Wonderful views on the rooftops of Paris, the Champs-Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, and even the Eiffel Tower and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, this is what to expect at MUN, the latest project of Paris Society. This new restaurant set on 52 avenue des Champs-Elysées has just been added to the most beautiful rooftops in Paris already providing wonderful views.
Paris Society does not ring a bell? And yet, this is the group directed by Laurent de Gourcuff, behind other famous spots in Paris such as Girafe, Monsieur Bleu, Apicius, Perruche… to name a few.
For this Asian-inspired restaurant, duo Eve Von Romberg and Charlotte Besson-Oberlin laid out the décor. A chic and sophisticated vibe with flower-printed velvet armchairs, warm carpet, soft lights and alcoves, here we are in the land of the Rising Sun.
In the kitchen, chefs Julien Chicoisne and Roland Puse, and bartender Aurélien Fleury for cocktails. Emphasis is given to Japan inspiration, but nor only. Go and enjoy a twisted discovery. On the menu, a sushi-bar with sashimi, California rolls and tatakis, as well as gyozas, avocado Hamachi carpaccio and dashi miso, yakitori cooked over charcoal and even shabu-shabu.
MUN is a visual shock, and certainly has the most awe-inspiring view of Paris at the moment. The location gives a spectacular panorama over Paris, from the Grand Palais to the Arc de Triomphe via the staple Eiffel Tower (visible from almost everywhere). As a bonus, a super plant-filled bar, providing a genuine chic and rare green cocoon in Paris. But even though mesnus seem rather correct despite high prices, cocktails are incredibly well-mastered. A stroke of genius by the famous designer, Laurent de Gourcuff, for the most coveted restaurant this September. A piece of advice: make the most of sunny days to enjoy the outdoor terrace.
